Computed tomography (or 3D diagnostics, CT) plays a key role in developing a treatment plan in dentistry. At the Symmetrica Dental Restoration Center, the patient's CT scan is performed under the supervision of an assistant, and the Orthophos XG 3D X-ray system takes 200 X-rays in one rotation around the head.
From these images, the system builds a three-dimensional model of the maxillofacial area, which allows for examination from different angles and projections.
It makes it possible to assess the thickness of bone tissue, identify "hidden" canals and damaged tooth roots, analyze the paranasal sinuses, etc.
determination of bone thickness and density, study of anatomical features of the jaw;
assessment of the location of teeth and roots relative to canals and vessels;
detection of cysts, granulomas, sclerotic changes, tumors of the maxillofacial region;
diagnosis of inflammatory processes that are difficult to see on a conventional X-ray;
planning of surgical access and safe intervention;
· assessment of fractures of the jaw and teeth;
checking the progress of healing after surgical interventions.

The patient removes jewelry and metal objects from the head and neck area to avoid distortion in the images.
The patient occupies a comfortable position in the apparatus. The head and chin are fixed in special stands to minimize movement during the examination.
The X-ray machine rotates around the patient's head and makes up to two hundred images at different angles. The process takes about 15 seconds.
The computer program forms a 3-D model of the teeth, jaw and adjacent structures. The finished image appears on the screen a few minutes after the scan is completed.
The doctor analyzes the 3-D image, assesses the condition of the teeth, roots, bone tissue, nerve channels and joints. Discusses the results with the patient and recommends further treatment steps.

full 3D visualization without distortions and overlays of images;
a reliable basis for accurate treatment planning;
lasts less than one minute;
the results are available immediately after the examination;
does not cause pain and does not require special training;
allows you to accurately control the healing process after interventions.
