Computed tomography (or 3D diagnostics, CT) plays a key role in developing a treatment plan in dentistry. At the Symmetrica Dental Restoration Center, the patient's CT scan is performed under the supervision of an assistant, and the Orthophos XG 3D X-ray system takes 200 X-rays in one rotation around the head.

From these images, the system builds a three-dimensional model of the maxillofacial area, which allows for examination from different angles and projections.

The examination takes about 20-30 minutes and is painless and comfortable.

Static baropodometry

The method will help determine how the weight of your body is distributed on the feet. The doctor will pay attention to whether you are standing straight and whether there is an overload of one leg, which helps to understand the relationship between posture and bite.

Stabilometry

The study assesses your resilience and ability to maintain balance. The doctor sees if the body compensates for the posture disorder and how it affects the neck and maxillofacial area.

Goniometry

During the test, you can see how freely the neck moves and whether the movements are symmetrical. This helps to identify limitations that can create discomfort in the jaws when talking or chewing.

Indications

The main indications for static baropodometry, stabilometry and goniometry:

problems with bite;

feeling of pain or tension in the jaw and neck;

discomfort, clicking, restriction of movements of the temporomandibular joint;

preparation for orthodontic or orthopedic treatment.

Stages of implementation

STAGE 1

Consultation of a doctor, collection of complaints and determination of indications for examination.

The doctor conducts a clinical examination, assesses the condition of the teeth, orthopedic structures and joints. The patient receives instructions on how to properly close the jaws during the test. Diagnostics does not require special preparation.

STAGE 2

Static baropodometry: assessment of the distribution of load on the feet.

The patient closes his teeth on a thin digital T-Scan sensor. The system records which teeth are compressed first, with what force and how evenly the load is distributed between the right and left sides.

STAGE 3

Stabilometry: analysis of the stability of body position and balance.

The received information is processed by T-Scan software. The doctor analyzes digital data, identifies areas of overload of teeth, implants or prostheses.

STAGE 4

Goniometry: determination of the volume and symmetry of neck movements.

Based on the results of the T-Scan analysis, the doctor can perform a spot correction of the contacts between the teeth. For example, minimal grinding or adaptation of orthopedic and restorative structures.

STAGE 5

Generalization of the results of a comprehensive examination.
