Computed tomography (or 3D diagnostics, CT) plays a key role in developing a treatment plan in dentistry. At the Symmetrica Dental Restoration Center, the patient's CT scan is performed under the supervision of an assistant, and the Orthophos XG 3D X-ray system takes 200 X-rays in one rotation around the head.
From these images, the system builds a three-dimensional model of the maxillofacial area, which allows for examination from different angles and projections.
The resulting digital image is instantly displayed on the screen and is used by the doctor to accurately plan treatment and predict the future appearance of orthopedic structures.

installation of veneers, crowns, bridge-shaped and removable dentures;
dental implantation — to select the optimal position and size of implants;
correction of bite with orthopedic structures (braces or aligners).
Intraoral diagnostics is also recommended to monitor the dynamics of treatment. For example, when correcting a bite, to see how the change process is going.
The patient receives answers to questions and recommendations that must be followed during the examination. It is important not to make sudden movements so that the digital print is as accurate as possible.
The doctor asks the patient to open his mouth, removes excess moisture with a saliva aspirator (desert) and conducts a 3D scanner over the dental rows. In just a few minutes, the system creates a detailed three-dimensional image of teeth in natural color.
After the scan is completed, the doctor shows the patient the digital result obtained and agrees on a further treatment plan. The three-dimensional model of the jaws is transmitted to the dental laboratory in electronic version.

Safety and comfort.
The light weight and small size of the scanner make the procedure convenient for both the doctor and the patient. The device does not put pressure on the teeth or soft tissues, does not cause discomfort or pain.
Detailed 3D model.
Unlike conventional casts, a three-dimensional model displays all the smallest details. Digital prints must be stored in the patient's electronic card.
Improving the effectiveness of treatment.
The resulting 3D image helps specialists to qualitatively plan the procedure of tooth restoration or bite correction without the slightest errors.
