During orthodontic treatment, teeth can deteriorate due to non-compliance with proper oral hygiene, when the patient poorly cleans plaque and food debris from between the elements of the bracket system. It is then that caries begins to develop around the braces. Properly installed and well-groomed braces do not cause damage to the teeth.

During orthodontic treatment it is not recommended to use:

• nuts, seeds
• very hot or very cold foods
• viscous sweets

It is necessary to brush your teeth after each meal.

With orthodontic treatment, it is necessary to carry out professional hygiene regularly (1 time in 3 months), since it is quite difficult to clean all the elements of the braces system independently, and prevention will help save teeth from caries.

If you notice a crunch in the joint when opening your mouth, you should consult an orthodontist, orthopedic dentist or gnathologist — these specialists have the necessary qualifications to assess and treat such problems. Depending on the complexity of the situation, it may be necessary to consult one or more of these specialists at the same time.

The frequency of visits for the correction of braces depends on the treatment plan and individual characteristics. This usually happens every 4-6 weeks.

People in adulthood often refuse to align their teeth because they are ashamed to wear braces. It is in such cases that aligners come to the rescue - transparent, removable and invisible on the teeth orthodontic structures that are designed for alignment. The cap completely repeats the shape of the dentition, but with the only difference - it has the correct position of the teeth. The aligner creates pressure on the dentition and gradually shifts the teeth into the correct position.
